I began working for First Class Mailers and the original owner, Joe Maul in the late 1970’s. When we moved to our present location in the early 80’s, I designed, setup, and operated the printing department. I left the employ of First Class Mailers in the mid 80’s because of something Joe said. He said: “YOU’RE FIRED”! I then owned and operated my own small printing business for several years. After selling that business I worked for several printing firms in the Madison area. In 1989, sometime after First Class Mailers had been sold to my brother Glen, I returnd to work for First Class Mailers. I operated and maintained the equipment for several years, eventually working my way up to production manager. In April of 1999 I, along with my nephew Duane Mcgowan bought First Class Mailers from a retiring Glen. I have always said and maintain to this day the philosophy of: “A company is only as good as its employees.” The rest, as they say, is history. |
